Do I need any experience for the Try Freediving course?

No prior experience needed. The Try Freediving course is designed for absolute beginners – you only need to be in good health and able to swim. We start with the theory basics and ease you into the water gently.

What do I need to bring?

Swimwear, a towel and something to drink. Equipment is provided for the Try Freediving session. In the Basic course you can also get a wetsuit on request. For Freediver and Advanced courses your own equipment is required at minimum.

How many participants are in a course?

This varies from course to course. Smaller or more specific courses can have as few as 3 participants, while larger courses host up to 12 – in that case there's always at least a second instructor on board for you!

Is freediving dangerous?

Freediving is safe when the basic rules are followed – above all: never dive alone. In our courses you'll learn exactly these safety standards. You always dive under the supervision of a buddy or instructor.

Can I move from Basic Freediver directly into Level 1?

Yes, the Basic Freediver course is the perfect preparation for Freediver Level 1. Many of our students take both courses back-to-back. We generally recommend everyone to start with Basic. If you're already truly experienced, you're welcome to start straight with the Freediver course. Just talk to us – we'll find the right path for you.

What is an SSI certification worth?

SSI (Scuba Schools International) is a globally recognized certification. With your brevet you can continue diving or take advanced courses at any SSI center worldwide.

Question 7

How deep will I dive?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the course: Try Freediving takes place in the pool, Basic Freediver goes down to 5m, and Freediver Level 1 reaches 11m – always at your own pace and only as deep as you feel comfortable.
